Robin Isaksson, 04-02-2024 09:30
Robin IsakssonHi,

This is a species i have collected severel times on resin of abies alba and picea abies in Sweden.
I have not been able to give it a name.

Apotecia is 0.25mm, with a lilac tinge.
Asci 8 spored, qroziers +, with blue top in lugols
Spores first aseptate, later 1 septate 9-11.5 x 2.6-3um
Parafyses septate, abundantly branched with dropplets.

Spores growing from inside asci.

Growing with Claussenomyces hyalinus sometimes.

anyone knows it?

Re : white Ascomycota on resin
I fear this is too overmature. For the single living spore I was reminded of Amphosoma resinicola, but of course nothing else fits. Perhaps a Ciliolarina?

Dear Zotto,

thank you for the replay. I will uppdate with pictures if i found a not overmature apothecia in the future. (all my finds have been in the same state)

Best regrads,

Robin
