.. Schwäbische Alb, 31.8.2023, on thin twig of Fagus lying on the ground in calacareous Fagus-Forest, without visible other fungi. The stromata are small, pulvinate to elongate and partly confluent, small, only few mm long. In very fresh condition I saw some hairs on the surface that I could not get on a picture nor in a microscopical slide - and vanished early. The color of the stromata was whitish at the very beginning (unripe stage) but soon quite brightly sulfur to citrine yellow. The stormata were not ripe first, but today, after a week in the refrigerator, it looks better. The spores are nearly monomorphic to slightly dimorphic (?) and small, about 2,5-3,5 (4)/2-3 µm and smooth.
I do not come to a good solution with the key of Jaklitsch. Who can help?
Yours, Lothar
P.S.. Spore pictures in Kongo-NH3. - Macro-pictures: 1: in the findplace, 2-5: studio, 6: digital microscope.
