Ronald Morsink, 13-07-2022 18:06
Hi everyone,

last week i found this Ombrophila on the ground. On the wet, loamy ground (not on wood)
Fruitbodies 1-3 mm. they grow in a wet forest with deciduous and coniferous trees.

Asci 8-spored, Spores: 8-12 µm 3-6 µm
Q= 2,3

Asci IKI+

Re : Ombrophila ?
Spores are a bit too short and width given too inexact to make conclusions, but I also feel it is O. limosella. Discinella lividopurpurea could be a synonym.

Re : Ombrophila ?
Hello Patrice and Zotto,

Thanks for your response, I will see if there are new fruiting bodies soon and then measure the free spores again.

Kind regards,
Ronald

Re : Ombrophila ?
I have found new fruiting bodies. I measured free spores in water.

Spores: 10-13 µm long and 4-6 µm wide.
Q=2,3

Ronald.

Re : Ombrophila ?
This sounds good, although the resolution is a bit low. Such paraphyses with strongly refractive VBs I rarely saw in this species.

Re : Ombrophila ?
Hello Zotto,
Sorry for the late response. thank you for your insight and information

Is it true that Ombrophila violacea var. limosella is also a synonym ? I read that on mycobank

Sincerely,
Ronald.
