On carob tree

Whilst examining a branch of a carob tree I noticed black, carbonized finger-like structures about 0.6-1mm tall and 0.25mm wide. A section of these structures under a microscope revealed a lumen surrounded by thick walls. The lumen did not give me any conidia or spores. Just filiform conidiophore-like strands. I have no idea what I found and maybe this does not belong to this forum. Any suggestion on ID is very welcome.
