Black with Helianthus tuberosus?
Mirek Gryc, 25-05-2022 13:07
Hello all
Perithecia grew on Helianthus tuberosus. Completely unknown to me, so I won't even suggest a kind. As I see with such spores, we have a lot of species to choose from.
Any hints to direct me to a kind?
Thank you in advance and sorry for the poor documentation.
Regards
Mirek

With compressed neck? I'd suggest you to look among Lophiostoma.

Hi Luc.
Looking at the microscopic features, Lophiostoma was also my first thought. However, the construction of perithecia is very unusual?
All perithecia look very similar so this is not an accident.
However, I have no other idea.
A few more sections taken (transverse and oblong).
Thank you Luc.

Re : Black with Helianthus tuberosus?
Esta morfología esporal bien podrías ser de Lophiostoma como sugiere Luc, teniendo en cuenta el sustrato, quizás Lophiostoma helianthemi?.
Saludos.

Re : Black with Helianthus tuberosus?
Thank you Josep!
I come to the conclusion that this kind is too difficult for me.
However, I am not discouraged, I will continue to study them to learn more about the characteristic features of their construction.
I looked at the literature on them, I found similar several genres but I can't decide on any of them, I lack certainty.
Lophiostom macrostomum also seems similar?
