found today east of Spiegelau, on decaying logs and twigs of Fagus. I found this repeatedly in the last years and tried to identify it as Dematioscypha richonis but I fear this was wrong. Is it better a Psilocistella? Who cann help.Asci IKI blue, Calycina-type, with croziers. Spores about 6,5-7,5(8)/2,2-2,7(3) (not too many measurements). Paraphyses filiform, with few content. Excipulum prismatica, with long hairs without strongly thickened walls.Â

Re : discomycete in the Bavarian Forest
o.k., you suggested Dematioscypha, but I still tend to Psilocistella quercina. There is no anamorph, the apos are flat exposed, the hairs not tapering. There is an article by Quijada et al. on this species.

Re : discomycete in the Bavarian Forest
Thanks, Zotto!I
I often found this in the Bavarian Forest and first I determined it as Dematioscypha, so I named my fotos so, still. But if you think this should be Psilocistella quercina, I am glad with this. I always doubted on Dematioscypha. Do you have the article of Quijada?
Yours, Lothar

Re : discomycete in the Bavarian Forest
here attached. But please compare it carefully, it is only a feeling. Anyway, P. quercina is a quite frequent apecies in my experience.

Hi Zotto,
I compared and find no notable differences. So I think you are right. I am happy that an old mistake of mine could be cleared up.Â
Thanks again and best regards, Lothar
