may I ask you for help ? I would need some idea or opinion.
Found on dead wood Fraxinus excelsior. I don't know how the amorphous stage of Hymenoscyphus fraxineus (Chalara fraxinea) actually looks macroscopic. The fruiting body is fragile, and contains structures that are pictured. Found both in January but also in September

have you tried (macro) reaction of the stroma(?) in KOH? To me it looks a bit like a germinating Hypoxylon.Â
