Hello everyone, On dead wood of Cytisus scoparius
Cyathicula complicata?
Enrique Rubio,

I think it fits well with the Karsten's and Carpenter's concept of Cyathicula complicata with IKI negative asci, although Dennis describes it as a non-dark fungus with asci IKI blue.
What do you think?

Re : Cyathicula complicata?
Hi Enrique
for me this was so far C. hysterioides, but who knows, perhaps complicata is the same and the older name!

Hi Zotto
But the ascospores of hysterioides are always longer and the fungus seems to prefer herbaceous rather than lignified stems.

Re : Cyathicula complicata?
You are right:
For herbaceous substrate I now have around *10-20 or even 26.5 x 3-4 µm, and
for wood around *10-13.5 x 2.5-3.5 µm.
This seems to justify two folders, perhaps species, but the variation among the samples is great and you see the overlap.
One sample was on a stone of peach: *20 - 24 x 3,5 - 4,seems thus to belong to the herbaceous group?

Re : Cyathicula complicata?
Obviously these Cyathicula do not seem to be entirely clear.
