Sporormiella ovina?
Dragiša Savic, 27-03-2020 11:22
Hi
I found only one semi-immersed peritecia on a rabbit dung with very large spores. Unfortunately it is not fully matured. Could it be Sporormiella ovina?

thanks

Re : Sporormiella ovina?
Hello Savic.

Do you have other more mature perithecia so as to clearly distinguish the germinal slots?

Michel.

Unfortunately I only found one. We'll see, there may be more coming soon.

Re : Sporormiella ovina?
Hello Dragisa,

I don't think that this is Sporormiella ovina. The spores of this species have more cylidrical cells. The rounded cells and the deeply constricted septa reminds me of Sporormiella longisporopsis. I know this species with spores upto 105 x 16 µm. You show immature spores and I think they will be a little bit smaller when mature. This is typical for Sporormiella.

Best regards, Norbert.

Thanks Norbert,
I haven't found that species so far, i hope there will be more perithecias after the weekend.
