On Eucalyptus old leaf
Elsa Sousa, 26-01-2020 19:46
Good evening,

could someone help me beginning to search for this fungus? I have no idea where and what to look for:

Very small apothecia with hairs on an old leaf of Eucalyptus on the ground.
Spores scutuloid and multiguttulate, many with central guttules (2) and with 1-2 guttules on edges, I didn't measure them yet.

Thank you.
Elsa

I am not sure if the spores were formed inside asci or, what I more assume, are conidia formed in the "hymenium".

Did you measure the spore size? I think they have setulae at the ends and that it is Dinemaspora strigosum or the like.

Hi Zotto,

Spores were formed on asci I think, I didn't see anything like anamorph structures. I upload more 2 photos.

Spore measure aprox. 20 x 6 microns.

Oh sorry, then I was mislead. I regret the pics are too unsharp. Did you try oil immersion on the hairs? Iodine reaction of the asci? A possibility would be Venturiocistella.
