Hi Thomas
I have nothing in my database on Salix seeds. No idea with these data. Do the paraphyses contain VBs? How does the amyloid ring look? Excipulum prismatic I suppose?

I have only seen the dried material (quite a number of tiny apotecia) so unsure of vital characters and of presence of VB's in the paraphyses. The ring is ± visible on the last image; rather open, shallow type but clearly blued

I wouldn't be sure from the photo that it is positive.

Indeed, from the full resolution photo one sees two dots of an apical ring, but no colour. This is difficult to estimate. One ascus is no ascus.
Anyway, without vital characters I do not want to try identify a genus here.

fully understandable - just thought it was sufficiently distinct to warrant a posting here :-)
