Périthèces érumpants, non velus, ostiolés, hauts de 1 mm maxi, parfois pédicellés, vert très foncé à noirs, sans stroma.
Chair gélatineuse.
Description micro (désolé pour la qualité de la photo) :
Asques cylindriques à paroi fine, 60-70 x 4-4,5 µm, contenant 8 spores.
Spores elliptiques, brun foncé, 7-8 x 4-4,5 µm.
Paraphyses cylindriques, sinueuses, appointies vers l'apex, 70-80 x 4µm.
Particularité :
L'espèce provoque un rougissement du bois
