Gernot FriebesHi,I wanted to share this collection on Rubus idae

Gernot FriebesHi,do you think this collection could be R. ulmari

.. in the Bavarian Forest, in old Dacrymyces stillatus.
There were a lot of those "hedgehog-spores" - and they were connected with the hyphae of the Dacrymyces. Does somebody have a hint?
Best regards from Lothar
They look a bit at an Olpidium, have you searched in that direction ?Or , does Dacrymyces makes chlamydiospores ?
Best,
Marco

Hello Maro,
thank you very much for your hints - I will try to follow them soon.
I did not hear of (such) chlamydospores in Dacrymyces, but I must admit, I do not know too much about the life cycle of Dacrymyces.
And a first google search did not bring results with Olpidium - but we will (perhaps) see.
Best regards from Lothar
Olpidium, Olpidiopsis, that direction. But I looked in Sparrow and Karling, at least in their Fungus - Host lists, but they do not mention fungi alike in Dacrymyces. But that do not mean there are not.Perhaps you can, if you follow this path, consult the website from Joyce Longcore, she gives lists with supplements on Sparrow. (Biblographical . )
Chlamydiospores?Bessey mentioned conidia in Dacrymyces, compare also Tremella obscura or Tr. penetrans, both parasitical in the hymenium of Dacrymyces.(This information I took from : Julich, Die Nichtblatterpilze etc. Unfortunately he does not gives figures of the spores.
Yes, I like this kind of problems.
Best,
Marco

Hi Nicolas,
thank you very much for your hint.
I will look at the paper as soon as I am at home, hopefully at the weekend.
Best regards and thanks,
Lothar
I cannot find that article by Clemencon and Wilhelm on internet?Has someone a PDF of it, to share with me, or this forum ?
Best,
Marco

Hello Marco, Nicolas, Chris & Gernot,
thanks a lot for your help! I now can be sure that my fungus is Rhizophlyctis spec. - unfortunately without a proper specific name.
Thanks, Gernot, fot the link! So I could see the paper before the weekend ...
Best regards to all of you,
Lothar (still in the Bavarian Forest)
