Orbilia sphaerospora o subsphaerospora

Susana

Re : Orbilia sphaerospora o subsphaerospora
Woww! This cannot be better. Everything perfect, including the angiosperm wood.
O. sphaerospora has more perfectly globose spores and completely lacks these glassy processes. We recently got a sequence of this O. subsphaerospora, and it differs sufficiently from sphaerospora.
Was this a log lying on the moist ground? Could you please send me the collection data? We have so far only records from western Spain.
The mosses might be Metzgeria and Hypnum cupressiforme.

Re : Orbilia sphaerospora o subsphaerospora
Hola Zotto, gracias.
Crecían junto a otra especie.

Re : Orbilia sphaerospora o subsphaerospora
Thanks. Yes, it looks like that Proliferodiscus. Asci should be amyloid, hairs and excipulum turning violet....
Both species are drought-tolerant, usually they grow more exposed.
Was this a pure beech forest or mixed?
