Hi Joseba,
you write of ascomas (the correct plural of ascoma would be ascomata) but I do not see any ascus in your fotos. Are there?
Best regards from Lothar

In spanish, the correct plural for the word ASCOMA is ASCOMAS but not ASCOMATA, that is the correct plural for ascoma in english language.

Hi Enrique,
thank you for your objection.
I do not know too much about Spanish language (although I am able to speak very little of your language - "hablo un poco Espanol").
But - I think the term ascoma and its plural ascomata is not primarily an English word but a scientific term. The plural in Germany is also built with an "s" in many cases and people could say "ascomas" also in German. But - for my feeling "ascomas" would be wrong in German. We - for example - would not say "Ascusse" what would be the natural German form- but Asci, as it is correct in Latin, English, and Spanish (?).
But - anyway - it is not a very important matter. So - in future - I will accept if somebody writes "ascomas" in what language ever :-)
Best regards, Lothar
In spanish we can say ASCO or ASCA (plural, ASCOS or ASCAS), both words are permitted, but not ASCI. ASCOMATA, ESTROMATA and ASCI. They are latin derivate words not of common use in Spain.
Elnen lleben Gruß!
