A member of the xylariaceae?
Carmel Sammut, 22-02-2017 17:28
On decaying Quercus ilex branch, with several lichens (Graphis sp.) growing as well.
The specimen appears to be a member of the Xylariaceae, but spores are fairly small and I am not sure if the germ slit is real or an artifact.
Black stromatal layer
Asci 8-spored, IKI +ve
Spores dark brown, biguttulate with a germ slit; 6.4-7.6 × 3.1-4 µm Q = 1.7-2.5; Me = 7 × 3.4 µm ; Qe = 2.1

I am not sure what else to look for.
What genus is this?
