Asco, de 2-3mm de diam pour le plus ouvert.D'abord une masse assez molle noire érompant d'une branchette de feuillu, chêne ou noisetier,
puis des pustules apparaissent, jaune-verdâtre, se déchirant en haut, hymenium olive.
iode -, spores hyalines, guttulées, 7-8 x 2 microns. Paraphyses septées ramifiées.
