Hi to everybody
These small, superficial, iregular to orbicular, whitish to ochraceous patches, 10-15 mm in diameter, were found growing on a thin, white, poorly developped subiculum on a small branch of Fraxinus excelsior lying on the ground. Any polyporaceous fungus were under the somewhat fleshy stromata up to 0.5 mm broad, KOH-negative, that contain several ostiolate, papillate, perithecia up to 0.2 mm high.
Asci 65-70 x 4-4.5. Ascospores 1-septate, hyaline, dimorphic, maybe finelly spinulose. Anamorphic stage not seen.
Have you some idea for help me? Could be a Nectriopsis or Sphaerostilbella species?
Thanks again
Some time ago, maybe two years ago, I gave part of this collection to someone whose name I don't remember. And as unfortunately happens, I never knew anything about this fungus again.
Maybe I'll get lucky now....Who knows!
