friends brought me a small pyrenomycete on rotten wood of Pinus, appearing beige-brown when young and reddish black when old. Under the micriscope the wall is yellow (young) to deep orange (old). Of course I thought on a Nectriaceae, but it has long filiform pseudoparaphyses. Can Chaetosphaeria/Zignoella have such a coloured wall or what else could this be? Ascomata c. 175 µm diam., pseudoparaphyses c. 1 µm wide, unbranched, asci 50-60 x 7-8 µm, 8-spored, ascospores 16-20 x 4 µm, 4-celled, hyaline, smooth.

Re : Chaetosphaeria?
The habit and your description of paraphyses and spores could fit well with a Porina (lichen).

Re : Chaetosphaeria?
Thank you Javier! I did not think on a lichen, a thallus was not visible. But of course, maybe! I never looked at the colour of the wall of Porina. Wolfgang
