Re : Plicaria cf trachycarpa
Hello Francisco,

The ornaments of the spores look truncated, which would fit fine with Plicaria trachycarpa. The size of spores fits well also, and the ecology as well (burnt places).

Cheers - LUC.

Re : Plicaria cf trachycarpa
Luc, Thank you for your opinion.

Do you think of the presence of white latex immutable. It is also characteristic of this species?

Another question is about the proper naming of layers excípulo . I can discern three layers : an outer layer of pigmented somewhat globular texture , a middle layer of mixed texture intricanda - globular , pigmented top layer and intricate texture. Could you talk ectal excípulo lower , middle and upper ? Or of  excípulo ectal - excípulo medular medio- excípulo medular superior?

Re : Plicaria cf trachycarpa
Beneath the asci there is distinct brown subhymenium (or "hypothecium"), then medúlla (medullary excipulum), then ectal excipulum (outer excipulum). Sometimes the ectal excipulum is differentiated into inner and outer layer, e.g. in genus Helvella. I'm not sure, but perhaps medullary excipulum can be differentiated too, in a more complex structure.

Hello Francisco,

Re: latex. There's nothing about it in the reference I own, but all the other features of your sample match with the description.

Cheers - LUC.

Re : Plicaria cf trachycarpa
Recently I studied a coleccion of Plicaria endocarpoides and watched latex too, whitish  that changed to green soon . I have not found any reference to the latex presence in Plicaria.
