F. JAVIER BALDA JAUREGUIHello, everyone. An idea for this pyreno, I found u
... found in the Bavarian forest, on a decorticated log.
The very minute apothecia (about 0.2-0.4 mm ca.) are smooth, I do not find distinct hairs on the hyaline excipulum of textura globulosa. The asci are clavate, one turgescent ascus I measured with 67,5/9,5. There are croziers at the base, and the reaction with Barals solution shows a dark red small porus of Calycina-type. The spores are straight to curved, with oil-amount about 2 or 3, and measure about 9,5-12,5/3-3,8 µm.
Can somebody give a hint?

tres difficile....
The paraphyses are without VBs? The excipulum photo seems to be a view on the outside at the flanks, and the marginal cells perhaps not different?
I always wonder about this "Phaeohelotium" subcarneum which is nor "Ph." carneum, H.B. 1104. Presently I have it in the folder Leptodontidium where trabinellum belongs.
Zotto
Hello Zotto,
thank you very much for your reply and suggestion.
Yes - I forgot to write: the paraphyses are without elongated and strongly refracting vacuolar bodies, but contain some roundish vacuoles not very conspicous.
The apothecia in fact are turning a little bit brownish when drying - I already noted this yesterday. I still have a part of the collection fresh, and another part is alreeady dried.
Best regards from Lothar
P.S. I just came home from the next field trip, so I could not yet look into your folder.
If you have your spore photo without piximeter I would prefer that.
Zotto
what would make me even more happy would be a section through the living apothecium, mainly the margin. I think with such a sessile fungus it should be possible under the bino.
The collection data would also be great.

Hallo Zotto,

Sorry, Regina, hab dein Posting übersehen, danke!
