Hi,I cannot decide if this Plicariella is flavovirens, or scabrosa.
Single apothecium in an Abies forest near Guchen, 30. VIII. 2014. sessile, cup-shaped, oval from the upper view, 10.5x8 mm broad, 5 mm high. Hymenium dark green, smooth, outer side dark brown, with big warts.
Spores globose, 12,5-14 µm, with one central guttule (9,7-10,7 µm), hyaline, then brownish, with regular warts, uniseriate.
Asci 310-350 x 16-19 µm, containing 8 spores, apex somewhat truncate.
Paraphyses septate, about 4,5 µm broad, with somewhat broadened apex (6,5 µm).
Excipulum medullare - textura inctricata.
Warts from cells 24-65 µm in diameter.
Spores are more similar to the drawing in the article on P. flavovirens by Nicolas than to those in René´s article on P. scabrosa, but when I compare my spores in cotton blue with the photo in Nico´s article, it seems different again... And subhymenium of my Plicariella seems to consist of globose cells, which would show to P. scabrosa.

Suite à la publication de mon article sur P. scabrosa, sur ascomycete.org, j'ai eu l'occasion d'étudier une seconde récolte de ce champignon. J'ai alors mis en évidence un caractère qui m'avais échappé et que par conséquent, n'est pas relevé dans mon article. C'est la forme des piliers qui ornent la surface des ascospores. Ils sont certes tronqués, mais possèdent aussi, à leur sommet, une « plateforme » excédante qui forme un rebord. Celle-ci est visible sur les ascospores matures (sporée) et colorées par le BCL, au plus fort grossissement, sur une vue latérale d'ascospores brisées par écrasement. La figure 23 (photo au MEB) de scabrosa, in Nordic Journal of Botany (1998) par K. Hansen S.K. Sandal et H Dissing, illustre parfaitement mon observation sur microscope optique.

some years ago I determinated with poor knowledge and literature this fungi as Scabropeziza flavovirens.
Now I know, that the determination isn't right. Can you help me with the appropriate literature (article from Nicolas, Rene, Nordic Journal etc. ) ?

Do you have pictures of ascospores in a higher size and resolution? It is difficult to see clearly the ornamentation.

If I met Peter´s mushroom in nature, my tip would be rather Plicaria (something like carbonaria or trachycarpa). Did it grow in a burntplace (I´m not sure if I recognize the "volcano" in the photo well)?

I think, it was young Plicaria carbonaria.
Have anyone literature about the species, see above ?
