Taphrina?
Bernard Declercq, 03-10-2013 19:54
Bernard DeclercqGood evening,

During my recent stay in Portugal, Albufeira, I saw bushes with several strongly deformed leaves. Could this be a Taphrina, and what is the name of the substrate?
Thanks for your help.

Bernard

Re : Taphrina?

Hi there,

The substrate look like Pistacia lentiscus. I googled "Pistacia lenticus" "gall", and it turns out it looks very much like the galls produced by the aphid Aploneura lentisci.

Greetings from Uppsala,

Ibai.
