Hypocrea-like species with 8 aseptate not disarticulated greenish ascospores
Alex Akulov, 25-09-2013 17:42
Alex AkulovDear Colleagues,
I need yours help in the identification of unusual Hypocrea-like fungus that I have collected recently at the fallen oak branches. Stromata are 3-6 (10) mm in diameter, with soft consistency, yellowish-green (more green when fresh and more yellow with desiccation). Single ascomata (? pseudothecia) up to 230 micrometers in diameter. Asci 8-sporous, in bunches, often with a long thread-like stipes, 21,7-24,7 x (2.5) 3.3-4.1 micrometers. Ascospores aseptate, greenish, almost spherical, 2.2-2.3 micrometer in diameter.

Did you have any idea what it could be?

Thanks in advance,
Alex

Dear colleagues
Amplistroma-like fungus from Ukraine is remains unidentified till now. This species is enough abundant on the fallen strongly rotten skeletal branches of Quercus robur in the old native oak forests in Kharkiv district in September-October. Yesterday I collected a few more fresh specimens
