Re : Literature request
Thanks Marco
I shall post some images - you may then be able to make a suggestion, based on Guba's work; I agree - too much scanning!
thanks

Re : Literature request
Hello Chris,
I have an other proposal.I shall scan the determinationkey from Guba, and if you have the opinion that you want to see one or two descriptions,I will scan them too.I felt a bit obliged to scan the whole book, but it would consume very much of my time.I hope my proposal is a nice alternative.
I try to scan the keys today.
Best regards,
Marco

Dear Chris,
The AscoFrance-site says that the file I want to upload is to big.Maybe I can send you the complete file through your private e-mail?
Is that a solution.I am a great digibete, and thus don't know how such things work.
If the are other people who want the files,i will send them by e-mail also.
I an sorry.
Best regards,
Marco

Re : Literature request
Hello Marco
I do not want to put you to too much work - time is the big limiter to we mycologists! Here are some images of the fungus - please let me know what you think . . . .
the conidia have (mostly) 4 apical setae, and a single basal seta, and most (but not all) have the central cell slightly darker; excluding the setae the conidial measurements are in the region of:
26.6-28.2 x 7.5-8.2µm

Re : Literature request
Hoi Chris,
Thanks for the information and pictures. But I need some additional information.
Are there allways 4 apical setae? What brown are the conidia?(Pale, olive or otherwise)What is the lenght of the apicular appendages, and from the basal one?And the lenght of the individual cells of the conidia?
In the mean time, you can search in the "Sylloge".Pestalotia you can find in Syl":3.p.784,Syl.X485,XI578,XII502,XIV1024,XVI1013,XVIII479,806,XX301,1282,XXV599,
XXVI1256.
See Cyberliber.
Further, can I assume that the conidia on the septae are constricted?
Best Regards,
Marco

Re : Literature request
Would it be possible to just see the text which explains the etymology for Pestalotia carveri?

Re : Literature request
Hi Danny
is this what you require? Yes that Carver: "He could have added fortune to fame, but caring for neither, he found happiness and honor in being helpful to the world."
