Philippe PELLICIERSur branche de mélèze (Larix) près de la neige,
Dear forum, this is my first posting. My name is Maren Kamke and I'm from Kiel in northern Germany.
I need your help with? a fungus from early April on Lysimachia sp. Similar looking fruitbodies have been found of a collegue of mine on lilies. The hymenium is reddish brown. The spores are hyaline, (41.5 to 47) 44.6 x 2 µm. They are pointed at one end and round shaped on the other. On the round end is a bubble located. The asci have 8-spores, 90-97x7-10 µm, iodine negative. Paraphyses are threadlike, 1 µm wide, apical various shaped, expansion to 3 µm.
The apothecia are located on the surface of the substrate, size 1x0, 5 mm?.
I did check with Ellis&Ellis but nothing matched.
Thank you for your help
Regards Maren?
I'd say it's a Lophodermium.
I found something resembling your sample, but it was on Carex flacca and it was Lophodermium caricinum.
No idea if L. caricinum can grow on Lysimachia - or more generally on dicots canes.
Was it found in marshes, bogs, fens?
Cheers - LUC.
thank you. I found it in my garden, I think it can be Lysimachia punctata?. It is a dry location.
Regards Maren
Let's wait or those who have a better knowledge than I on Lophodermium. Interesting find anyway.
Cheers - LUC.
