Bonjour, Voici la description rapide d'un petit d
hello there i have some doubts about this Mollisia that i collected... i hope if someone can help, was growing on a fern rachis but i have not any keys from this genera. i hope if someone can help.. thnks
spores from (7-) 8 - 11 x 3, ellipsoidal to fusiform , smooth with rounded tips, 1 septate, hyaline, 2 oil drops
asci from (55-) 56 - 65 (70) um, 8 spores, cylindrical, thin wall, pore blue (weak) in Melzer Reactive, uniseriate.
Paraphyses filiform, swollen apex ( 2 um) exceed the asci to 5 - 10 um
ectal excipulum textura globose, cells colo brown - weakly yellowish
Macroscopic:
apothecia superficial, gregarious, sessile. concave - flattened, receptacle black, margin greyish , disc yellowish - olivaceous, growing on a fern rachis.
without foto its even more difficult ;-))
But judging from the description, this is not Mollisia ventosa. The spores are far too small. Moreover, M. ventosa occurs in very damp places, if not below water, on dead wodd of decidous trees. I have never seen it on fern or any other plant. I wouldn't exclude those plants with wood-like stems, like e.g. Rubus or so, but have only found it on wood up to now.
There are several species which can become cream-greenish-yellowish when slowly drying.
best regards,
Andreas
