Hello again,it seems as if there is an infinite number of Pyrenomycetes, every time I check out a finding with the microscope, it is something new. This time it's something strange on dead Salix twigs.
Fruitbody a single perithecia without a stroma, breaking the cortex, after cutting you can see some whole perithecia growing on the wood and not embedded into the cortex, black, 0,1-0,2 mm.
Spores 12-15x3-4,5µm, perfectly fusiform, mature spores mostly with a central septation, hyaline, with some minor guttules in each cell, smooth. Asci 90-110x9-11µm, with 8 spores in uniseriate arrangement, short stalked, unitunicate. Paraphyses not seen.
The spores seem to have a gel sheath, especially when they are immature (in the ascus), mature spores don't have something like this.
Perhaps someone can help me with this "mysterious" fungus.

Non, ce ne peut être C. salicella, qui a des spores beaucoup moins larges. On serait plus proche de salicina, mais ça ne colle pas non plus. Au passage, ces deux espèces sont des Plagiostoma, voir le superbe travail de Luis sur le genre récemment joint.
Perhaps you can try another observation Kazama. My opinion was that you have perhaps ean immature C. salicina.

C'est vrai si on en crois Ellis (p. 250) qui donne : 15-20x2-3 um pour C. salicella et 15-22x4,5-7,5 um pour C. salicina...
Kazuma nous dit que ses spores font 12-15x3-4,5 um ce qui est entre les deux pour la largeur.
Mais Luis nous donne (14-)17-20-(27) × 3-4(-5) um pour P. salicellum (=C. salicella), ce qui pourrait aller avec la récolte de notre ami.
On est de toute façon entre les deux et je crois comme toi que les spores pourraient être immatures.

Ce qui me gêne dans la récolte de Kazama c'est que les spores ne sont pas étranglées à la cloison, ce qui me fait penser qu'elles sont peut-être immatures. J'ai déjà fait des récoltes de salicella, ça n'a rien à voir, comme on peut le voir dans les photos de Luis.
Je pense qu'on se dirige vers une autre espèce.

I had checked the species again, but there were no changes, the spores were the same size and mostly fusiform as shown on the photos.
