Re : Bryoscyphus
I can only think of B. rhytidiadelphi in which the pattern of the LBs may have been altered. But when I made the preparation, the asci released a multitude of very mature spores, which seemed very normal.

Hi Enrique, I suppose you also considered B. phascoides , which spore guttulation pattern is similar ? (though a little thiner in my collections)Â

I see the spores as very different, Michel, and also the gutulation.

Re : Bryoscyphus
Your spores look identical to mine, but the gutulation pattern seems different from rhytidiadelphi unless the small LBs quickly rearrange and form larger guttules.
On the other hand I have been told that the moss in my collection looks like Rhytidiadelphus

And also my older collections of rhytidiadelphi.

Re : Bryoscyphus
Enrique, I suggest to identify the moss. perhaps you can make a preparation of a leaf to show the cell shape at base and apex, presence of a midrib, structure of margin. Perhaps someone can tell. Was the moss also uninfected and do you have a photo?

Re : Bryoscyphus
Moss could be R. triquetrus but a photo from further away would help to be sure. B. rhytidiadelphi does not seem to be specific, however, or at least there are reports on other hosts. I had convincing material on Bryum argenteum once.

A Rhytidiadelphus I think is sure.
