Patellaria crassispora?
Unai Fernandes, 11-01-2021 23:02
Hi! Good night!

I collected this Patellaria in dead plant of Baccharis halimifolia. I followed the documents on Baral's website and found P. crassispora who seems to me to be a good match or at least similar. But since her situation is not so clear yet, and she is still a species under study, I would like to receive any help regarding her. It has a bluish hymen and slightly blue multi-nucleated spores.

Any help is welcome! Thanks you very much!

Unai!

Re : Patellaria crassispora?
Yes, this is undoubtedly the species. The bluish exudate is clearly visible and the spores multiguttulate (not -nucleate!). The contents are LBs (lipid bodies). Also the spores can hardly be bluish, I think you refer to an optical effect of refraction.

I would be glad to get the collection data for a distribution map.

Re : Patellaria crassispora?
Hello Zotto!

If they're multiguttulate, I mentioned it wrong. I'll send you the  data without any problem.

Thank you for your help.

Re : Patellaria crassispora?
Yes, the nuclei are non-refractive and hard to see, there is certainly only one nucleus in each cell.
