Hello.I found a very small Patellaria-like fungus, growing on decorticated dead branch of Quercus. The apothecia are 0.2-0.5 mm in diam.
Asci with crozier, IKI+ (bb), with 8 biseriate spores. Paraphyses very thin, ~ 2 µm in diam.
Ascospores clavate, 16-20 × 4-4.2 µm, hyaline, with 1 to 2 septa (outside the asci), with some minute guttules.
The excipulum appears olive in 5% KOH (see attached picture, although a bit darker here).
Any suggestion?

hello nicolas,
sounds like something out of durella. perhaps d. macrosporum (as documented in zotto-folders under macrosporum iki+) could fit?

Re : Patellaria-like fungus
well, the excipulum does not really look like in Durella, and the spores are non-septate in the living asci.
I have no idea. Was this an exposed substrate or on the moist ground?

The dead branch was exposed.
