Dumont: Lambertella
Gernot Friebes, 15-07-2014 12:51
Hi,

identifying Lambertella species is difficult enough but without Dumont's monograph it seems close to impossible...So I wanted to ask if anyone has a digital version of:

DUMONT K.P. 1971 Sclerotiniaceae II. Lambertella Mem. New York Bot. Gard. 22 1 1-178.

which they could send me.

I attach a few photos of a recent find (the pictures are not mine).

Thanks!
Gernot

Re : Dumont: Lambertella

Hi Gernot ,

The substrate looks like a momified fruit (apple or else ?)

Is the spore colour natural (in water)  in images 4-6 ?

Hi Gernot and Michel,

now I remembered, where I have seen this before:
http://mycokeymycelium.blogspot.de/2011/08/surprising-mass-fruiting-of-monilinia.html

In the end deciphered as Lambertella corni-maris by Zotto.

Best regards
Martin

Re : Dumont: Lambertella
Hi Michel,

exactly, it should be a mummified fruit. The micro photos are all in water except for the last one of course.

After studying the literature I think it should be Lambertella corni-maris. Wow, I've just realized that Zotto has already put the photos into the cubby file - that was fast work!

Yes Martin, I remember that post as well. Thanks for posting the link!

Best wishes,
Gernot
