Diaporthales on Populus

I recently found some ascos that I think belong to Diaporthales, growing on a fallen Populus tremula tree (although am not 100% sure about the substrate's species). Presumably the stromata have developed under bark. There are clusters of a few short necks here and there

Asci 8-spored, IKI-. Spores 2-celled, constricted at the septum, having many guttules. What caught my attention was the rather small and inconspicuous, round appendage at both ends of the spores.

Spore measurements: 13.2 - 14.4 × 4.2 - 4.6 µm, Q = 3.0 - 3.5; avg = 13.9 × 4.3 µm, Qav = 3.2; n = 5.

Some Melanconis species at least have similar microscopy, but I haven't found a proper species candidate from there.
