Heteroconium? on Nemania serpens
Edvin Johannesen, 15-03-2025 13:10
Edvin JohannesenThese hair balls are growing on top of Nemania serpens stroma and assumed to be fungicolous. Tips of hairs (conidiogenous cells) are pale yellowish, but are dark brown deeper down. Conidiogenous cells and conidia are warted, which makes me doubt that this is Heteroconium tetracoilum. Conidia are up to ca. 35 µm long and ca. 5 µm broad. They are either aseptate or 1-septate.  Any suggestions?
