Coprophilous perithecium muriform spores
Lennert Gees, 15-02-2025 12:21
Hello!

I've found this species on birddung, but I still haven't found which genus and species it belongs to.

Its spores are muriform and measure 32-36 x 12-14 µm. Asci are 8-spored. Perithecia measure 170-180 x 120-150µm, textura angularis.

I hope you can help me fur†her.

Kind regards
Lennert

Hello Lennert.

Maybe you could look into the genus Pleospora.

Michel.

Thank you both a lot!

I didn't have success with the genus Pleospora, but the forum linked by Bruno led me to the genus Leptosphaerulina, probably L. australis, to which it's very similar.

Thanks again!

Lennert
