Asexual morph on Ilex aquifolium leaf?
François Bartholomeeusen, 25-09-2024 20:07
After I dipped a fallen Ilex leaf in water for a day, gel-like droplets appeared on the epidermis. At first I thought I saw asci and paraphyses but soon they turned out to be conidia and conidiogenous cells. They look like banana bunches.
Conidia: 20-25 x 2.4-4 µm
Thick-walled hyphae: length > 60 µm, width 2.1 µm (lumen 1.5 µm)

Can anyone help me identify this asexual morph?
Many thanks, in advance.
