Cudoniella on Carex
Nicolas Suberbielle, 20-06-2024 16:07
Nicolas SuberbielleBonjour,

Nicolas

Edit : Cudoniella clavus / tenuispora

Hi Ncolas
Did you consider Cudoniella clavus as a possibility?

Bernard

I should add that the excipulum looks more like in C. tenuispora.

Was the substrate flooded?

Re : Ombrophila on Carex

@Hans-Otto Baral : I found those on dead stems of Carex microcarpa, in a ditch filled with water and in a partially flooded lawn in the forest. The leaves were not directly in the water, but a few inches away. I have trouble seeing the difference between the textura of the two species but it looks more porrecta - intricata que prismatica - angularis to me. Should i say C. tenuispora for now ? I can send it to the lab for DNA alanysis if needed.

Re : Cudoniella on Carex
Well, the aquous habitat speakd for C. clavus. I know C. clavus with a prismatica which I do not see there. But the apo stipe is more obconical in C. tenuispora, so I am undecided. DNA (ITS) would surely clarify this.
