Orbilia species?
Wim de Groot, 12-12-2023 23:18
I know, not enough details. But nevertheless I hope enough to say if this is an Orbilia species or not. If it is maybe the smal size of the two spores (I only managed to find these two) give an indication of what species this might be. Breitenbach I and AiC was not very helpfull in this case.

Re : Orbilia species?
Are you sure the spores are from the asci? I photo of mature asci at oil immersion would be necessary.

No, I am not sure. I have tried to search for asci with spores but could not find any. I asked myself the same question. Unfortunatelly I have no more material. Is it from youre experience doubtful that these are Orbilia spores?

Re : Orbilia species?
They do not look very typical. Sometimes algae have been confused, but  their chlorophyll is usually obvious. by macroscopy I would think of O. xanthostigma (yellow variant of leucotigma).
