Hello,
I try to identified all mushroom species I found in a tropical greenhouse , Lyon Downton / France.
I have an asco found I thinl 'but not sure) a leaf or a plant) , not that sure, that was dried, totally impossible to really identiy the plant , there are soveral species from around the world.
I am not a professional, I have the scope I have , ascii are IKI+ ,some with crozier, spores are ellipsoids and mostly "biguttulated".
I attached all what I have , if you need more information , I will need to wait they are back, dried species are very little.
any helps or idea is welcomed.
thanks

Re : Asco in Greenhouse
Hello Sebastien,
with this macroscopy it should be a Sclerotiniaceae. It is long ago (in the 1990s), but I once found in a greenhouse Moellerodiscus lentus (then determined by Zotto!). I do not have a clear notion of the paraphyses by your pictures. If there is a bright yellow content in living specimens this could be useful.
Yours, Lothar

Re : Asco in Greenhouse
I tentatively agree with Lothar, given that the microscopy was done from the dried apothecium (or mounted in something like KOH, for the spores I guess they are not alive, not to speak of the rest). The iodine looks to me more like Melzer's.

Re : Asco in Greenhouse
Yes it was mounted into Melzer , spore in water (from a spore print) and the rest true, somewhat dried.
Thanks
