Leaf spot on Empetrum nigrum
David Mitchel, 10-04-2023 22:43
A couple of us have been finding this fungus on dead attached leaves of Empetrum nigrum in the north of Scotland. It seems very widespread as we've found it in a number of localities without having to look hard. It looks just like images I have seen of Physalospora empetri but I am not seeing asci so presume these are aseptate hyaline conidia and are small at 10-14 x 1.5-2µm. Has anyone got any pointers for me to look at?
