Asco inconnu sur Prunus spinosa
Bernard CLESSE, 05-12-2022 10:43

Grand merci d'avance !

Bernard

Hello Bernard, looks like spores (more likely conidia) protruding through the ostiolum. Not uncommon at many ascomycetes incl. anamorphs when ripe and moist weather. Your pictures do not give a hint to me what species this could be.
Yours, Lothar

Hi, Lothar !

Great thanks for your message.

I asked the observer if he had observed anything under the microscope and he sent me this (nematodes or conidia?).

Best regards,

Bernard

Hello Bernard,
definitely conidia. Maybe somebody can say more now, but not me ...

Re : Asco inconnu sur Prunus spinosa
Bonjour Bernard,

Your photos do not represent the brown bottle-shaped conidiomata of Dermea cerasi.
Maybe we have to do with beta conidia of some Diaporthe sp.

Best regards,

Bernard

Ah ? OK, Bernard !

Bernard
