blue stain of substrate caused of Hysterium
Lothar Krieglsteiner, 18-11-2022 10:57
Lothar Krieglsteinerthis collection I could determine as Hysterium pulicare was found on the inside of loosening bark of a lying Betula log, and already in the field it was obviously growing only on a blue-green colored spot, like in Lophiostoma viridarium for instance.
I never before heard of Hysterium as causing such a phenomenon. Does somebody of you have?Yours, Lothar

Re : blue stain of substrate caused of Hysterium
Not rare, I've already seen that with Hysterium angustatum, and more with Hysterobrevium smilacis.

Re : blue stain of substrate caused of Hysterium
thank you very much! Then it is not unusual with (some) Hysteriaceae.
Yours, Lothar
