Lecanora varia?
Gonzalez Garcia Marta, 07-05-2022 10:48
Good morning, I would like to know the opinion about this Lecanora collected on indeterminate hardwood in Asturias (Spain). The thallus and apothecia are K and C-, while it reacts positively to paraphenylenediamine.
I have rejected the idea that it could be Lecanora albella because the margin of its apothecia is not yellow K+ and L. carpinea because the margin of the apothecium is also P+. The spore measurements and thickness of the hymenium fit the description of L. varia but it was not determined whether or not it had a cortex in the amphithecium.
Photobiont: chlorococcoid cells
Thank you very much.
