On hardwood
Enrique Rubio, 15-03-2022 19:13
Enrique RubioOn thin branches of about 20 mm broad fallen to the ground of a broad-leaved tree  surrounded by old stromata of Diaporthales.
The somewhat superficial pustules, erumpent and pinkish-orange when fresh, are very gelatinous and the fertile region arises from a stroma which is also very gelatinous. Conidia hyaline 3 septate.
Do you have any idea that help me?
Thanks again

Re : On hardwood
Hi Enrique,

The conidium contents are a little different, but it really reminds me of a collection I made from the South of England last year on Ulex (also associated with Diaporthales).

Alas, I tried to PCR-test it but wasn't successful, thus it remains a mystery.

You can see the conidia were budding profusely in my collection and I wonder if I can see evidence of 'past budding' in you bottom left conidium?

If you get any ideas on its identity please let me know!

Regards,
Nick

Re : On hardwood
They look very similar, Nick. Maybe your conidia are overripe.
At the moment we have no idea whether it is a hyphomycete or a coelomycete with a highly developed gelatinous stroma.
Thanks a lot.

Hola Enrique, tengo esta recolecta sobre ramas de Buxux que me recuerdan mucho a tu recolecta.

Creo que es exactamente lo mismo, Carlos. Una pena que no sepamos qué es.
I think it is exactly the same, Carlos. But unfortunately we don't know what it is.

One more collection on Hedera to add to this puzzle. I thought it might be nectriaceous but I am not sure.

Best wishes,
Gernot

Re : On hardwood
Hi Gernot.
I think it is the same fungus.
I will send the material to Ángel Pintos so that he can try to culture and sequence it. If we find out more, we will keep you informed.
Carlos, could you send the material to Ángel? If so, write me so I can give you his address.
