Sclerotinia & Ficaria
Michel Hairaud, 03-03-2022 09:18
Michel HairaudBonjour,

Here is plate after a collection of Sclerotinia linked with Ficaria . Spores are bi-nucleate and I would like to know whether it has been formelly separated from S. sclerotiorum (also bi-nucleate and with c.a. same spores) . This species is currently presented under file S. binucleata on Ficaria in Zotto's files.

Merci. Amitiés pacifiques à tous
Michel

Re : Sclerotinia & Ficaria
Hi Michel

the microscopy is indeed very similar. Genetically it is sharply separated, also by the much larger apo diameter. Can you tell me the diameter here?

My artticle on this is under work, and I would be pleased include your find in the listed specimens, if you give me coordinates, date and the finder.

Thanks Zotto,
The apos are up to 1,5 cm large . I found it at France; Augé , lieu-dit Bois Aigu 28 02 2022.

Hola Michel, Zotto:

Hola Antonio

thanks for this. I am now uncertain which species you have, do you have any micros?

The leaves belong to which plant?

Was there any Ficaria and/or Anemone?

Re : Sclerotinia & Ficaria

Re : Sclerotinia & Ficaria
Indeed it is binucleata. When enhancing the contrast it becomes more clear, though unshar.

Re : Sclerotinia & Ficaria
Many yers ago I had found a similar species. I had no microscope nor camera, but I already knew Dumontinia tuberosa well enough to know that it was another thing. It was the beginning of the spring, fruiting time of the first Morchella, and searching for morels, between Ranunculus and Eranthis hiemalis I found several spots of that Sclerotinia.

This post makes me want to go search for it, but the whether is very dry here, no rains since the beginning of december...

Maybe next year.

Regards

Mario

Re : Sclerotinia & Ficaria
Bonsoir,
