Dear all,after the sudden departure of Christian Lechat, many of you paid tribute to the creator of Ascofrance and expressed their will to keep this forum going
As you have noticed, Ascofrance keeps going thanks to Christian's friends and Ascomycete.org members.
Ascomycete.org actually ensures for the time being the administrative and financial relay of Ascofrance.
We are also looking for a lasting solution to maintain Ascofrance for what it was created for : an international site enabling all passionate ascomycologists to exchange their knowledge in perfect mutual respect.
The future of Ascofrance could thus be ensured by the community of Ascomycete.org members.
Any Ascofrance user may then contribute to this future by choosing to support Ascomycete.org ( see our site https://ascomycete.org/)

Not sure if I am directing this to the correct person but I am sure you would know. I see under the Home Page of AscoFrance that the 'CONTACT' link still returns by email to Christian Lechat as well as phone nos etc. address, etc., are quoted ? Sorry to bother you or if I am missing something here but clearly evident on the present website. Thanks

Yes theAscofrance contact is still linked to Christian's mail adress. We (Ascomycete.org) can realize new subscriptions and include new records in the Ascofrance database. The regaining of the full control of the web site by Ascomycete.org is on its way and should be soon achieved. Of course a new contact link will be available.

Yes Jason, that's of course the idea which should prevail as it obviously made the Ascofrance a much successful idea and we share your concern.
Complete information will be given once we have all technical and financial ins and outs.
I want to thank all users who already sent support to Ascomycete.org as new members or donators.
I also want to thank everyone sharing here his knowledge either on the forum or in sending much valuable plates and records in the database.
