D'après L'Index of Fungi et Mycobank la description princeps de Peziza epixyla sérait: 

Peziza epixyla Richon, Cat. Champ. Marn.: 552 (1889)


Mais autant que je sache, Richon avait publié l'espèce déjà en 1879 dans "Desciptions et dessins de plantes cryptogames nouvelles". Vitry-le-Francois.
