Berkleasmium ? muriform conidiospores - anamorph on wood
Ethan Crenson, 22-03-2021 00:27
Hello all,

A couple of weeks ago in Central Park in New York on unidentified wood.  This anamorph reminds me a bit of Berkleasmium, but I don't find a match.  The black mass of conidia is tough and tar-like.  Conidia are brown, but become hyaline near the point of attachment to the conidiophore.  They have around six to eight transverse septa and some longitudinal ones as well. They measure 50-57 x 18-20µm.

Thank you in advance,

Ethan
