On the stem of an Oak leaf
Ethan Crenson, 28-01-2021 17:48
Hello all,

Earlier this year (January 7th) in an NYC park, I found this erumpant asco with coarse black eyelash-like hairs growing on the stem of what I think was an Oak leaf.  Does anyone recognize it?  I was unable to see asci, or much else for that matter.  Perhaps this is an anamorph?

Thanks,

Ethan

Could this be Pyrenophora?
