Re : Geoglosum fallax ???
If you still have it fresh you must look whether the spores inside the living asci are hyaline. If brown then it is not G. fallax.

Re : Geoglosum fallax ???
Not only the spores must be alive but also the asci. You must think that G. fallax ejects hyaline spores. When you try a spore print you will get a hyaline spore deposit.

Re : Geoglosum fallax ???

Re : Geoglosum fallax ???
The macro photo looks far more like a Trichoglossum. Have you any slightly wider photos of the
hymenium?
hymenium?

Re : Geoglosum fallax ???

Joseba
We need a photo of the hymenium in a squash to show hairs. It is important to distinguish between the dark setae and protruding asci/spores which can sometimes give the surface the impression of being hairy when it is not.

Re : Geoglosum fallax ???

Excellent Joseba
Now we are in no doubt a Trichoglossum and with spores up to 15 septa and straight hardly swollen paraphyses T hirsutum.
